Washington DC on election night!






It was an exciting time to be in our Nation's capital. With the overwhelming support for Senator Obama the election outcome was not a surprise and Washington D.C. shook with celebration. The EY spouses were treated to a bus tour through the city - one of the most emotional stops was the Viet Nam Memorial, my favorite was the Korean War Monument, and the most inspirational was the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. This quote by President Lincoln is as appropriate today as it was in his Inaugural speech......

With malice toward none with charity for all with firmness in the right let us strive on to finish the work we are in to bind up the nation's wounds to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.

Did Abraham Lincoln not believe in punctuation or was that invented later because I notice that there was not a single comma in that entire paragraph.

It's the thought that counts!
